"Nothing Is Impossible"

I grew up watching Disney movies, and more then likely have seen them all. I can probably name all the characters and quote half-if not all-the movies. My favorite as a child was The Lion King, but as a teenage psychopathic kleptomaniac, my favorite is Alice in Wonderland. I have an over active imagination, and have often daydreamed of what my own world would be like. Alice in Wonderland completely captures that very daydream. I'm not saying I want my world to be like Wonderland, but the movie itself about a girl who falls into a dream of her fantasy world reminds me of myself in Freshman World History class.

My absolute favorite quote comes from the Doorknob, "Nothing is impossible". True, in Wonderland nothing is impossible and I know very well in reality there are several things that are impossible. However, installing that into a Disney movie targeted for children, and having that taught to children why they're young seems almost vital to happiness. Living your life with the determination that nothing is impossible can cause some pretty awesome outcomes.

It holds the same element as "you can be whatever you want to be". Both seem like lies, like their only words of encourage for a few moments until you get distracted my the real world. But ignoring the chances of either ever being true and living your life with those as your motivation could make some seriously amazing things happen.

I wish as a kid I would have paid more attention to that silly talking doorknob, and understand what he was saying. I'm not afraid to admit that I live with a cloud of impossibility over my head, but maybe if I had it programmed into my head that "nothing is impossible", I would have a brighter outlook on things. So, there's no hope for me, but hopefully someone else will pick up on the hint before they befall the same fate as me.
